With 13 years of classroom experience I am passionate about literacy and love watching words come alive for middle school students. I have worked with students time and again who think they can’t read, or have a hard time with writing, find success and take pride in their work.

As a parent, I also understand the struggle to engage with your kids and get them to communicate effectively with you, or anyone else for that matter.

A solid foundation is essential for good communication skills, and that foundation doesn’t end once a child moves on from early elementary. In fact, the journey is just beginning!

Returning in the fall...

Build comprehension, expand vocabulary while exploring new books, as students meet and discuss in small groups over 6 weeks.

Develop writing skills for a variety of purposes with real world topics. Students will walk through the writing process of planning, drafting, editing, and sharing.

Perhaps your child prefers 1 on 1 support...

I offer half and full hour sessions. Each session will be interactive and engaging, suited to meet your child’s needs.

Choose from Reading, Writing, and/or Word Work support. If there is only 1 area of focus, half hour should suffice. If there are 2 or more areas to focus on, choose a full hour.

25-30 minute (half) sessions are $30 each.
50-55 minute (full) sessions are $60 each.

Once registration has been received, an email will be sent to confirm day and time options. After that, an invoice for will be sent via email with payment options. Once payment has been made, another email will be sent with the Zoom link for the tutoring sessions, and we’ll get to work!

I have known Krysta from being my oldest daughter's 3rd grade teacher. She has been helping my youngest with reading and writing. I have seen a big improvement. She is becoming more independent and mostly she is enjoying learning. She can't wait for her lesson every week!

Get One on One Support

As parents, it has been very difficult to try to help our son in LA since it is so different than helping with something like Math where the answer is either correct or incorrect. I approached Krysta to see if she would be able to help and she said absolutely. Our son meets with Krysta once a week over Zoom and she has been able to work with him on the things he struggles with the most; reading comprehension as well as persuasive and descriptive writing. He looks forward to his weekly session with Krysta and has really felt that it helps him feel more confident to tackle classroom assignments that he is assigned.
